Power Girl Dejeunè Davis is very ambitious and looks forward to becoming a Psychologist to fulfill her dream of helping people to live powerfully and successfully. She uses lessons taught to her by her late beloved grandmother as daily inspiration. Dejeunè says that her grandmother instilled in her the importance of loving people and helping them.
Dejeunè is currently in the 10th grade, an Honor Roll student, a Garden Club member, loves to Double Dutch and participates in Urban Scholars. Urban Scholars helps to prepare high school students for college. In addition, she is also a very talented writer.
The Power of You Teens recently made it possible for Dejeunè to participate in a Writing Master Class with Tanya Hoffler who has written for Tyler Perry Studio’s productions “Meet the Browns” and “House of Payne.” Dejeunè says the experience was AMAZING and one of the most important pearls of wisdom she learned from Ms. Hoffler is “If you are not writing, you should always be reading.”
Dejeunè credits both her Mom and Dad as being positive and major influences in her life. She loves to spend time bonding with her dad daily, chatting about her day, laughing and discussing family history. Dejeunè considers herself fortunate to live in a household with two loving and supportive parents.
If Dejeunè could do one thing to make a positive impact on the world, she would ensure that all children had the opportunity to fulfill their greatest potential!
Her favorite quote is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
